- Orientation into the missions of Civil Air Patrol
- Introduction to Tango Flight
- Demonstrations and Hands on Learning to basic stationary drill movements
- Incorporation into opening and closing formations with Tango Flight
- Chain of Command
- During the Rank of Basic
- Drill Movements Necessary to pass practical test for Cadet Airman
- Drill movements will be worked on by the cadet in the meeting as well as at home
- Uniform is improved to a quality becoming of a Civil Air Patrol cadet and a member of Squadron 902
- Uniform must exceed minimum requirements at all times
- Boots must be black, able to reflect light to some extent

- Pants must have evidence of ironing

- CAP cut-outs have no excuse to be misaligned

- Gig-Line must be aligned

- Customs and Courtesies are expanded to cover the most common situations
- Cadets must know how to salute properly, proper responses for questions, proper procedure for a passing officer or senior member
- Must learn Cadet Oath, Honor Code, CAP Motto, and Military Time before advancement out of Tango Flight.
- During the Rank of Cadet Airman
- Drill Movements are advanced to the level where they may be considered for advancement out of Tango Flight
- Knowledge of all stationary commands with basic knowledge of moving commands
- Uniform is brought to the standards of the presiding squadron without exceptions
- Boots must be as polished as any other staff member

- Pants must have creases visible, not expected to be as crisp as staff’s

- Customs and Courtesies are advanced to cover less frequent occasions
- Knowledge expanded to cover operations in the field and special occasions
- Trained to be able to lead an element although they may not be in that position yet
