ROA class (Advanced and Basic)
When:
26 February 2005 (Saturday).
0900 - 1600 hrs
Location:
Chester Counter Government Services Center, West Chester PA,
Room 171.
Materials needed
Bring CAP Reg 100-1 Volume 1 and 3
Notepad and pen or pencil
Magazine or book, on any topic - it will be used for radio exercises
Uniform of the day:
BDUs.
Bring your CAP ID (to get through security). The building has armed guards
(from the Sheriff's Department) and there is am airport type screening
system in place. If you do not yet have a CAP let me know now.
Lunch/Food:
Bring money for lunch or bring a lunch. We will do a lunch run at about
1200 hrs. There is a very nice cafeteria upstairs in which to eat but the
cafeteria will not be open for food service. There are several places
within about 1/2 mile where you can get food and then eat in the cafeteria.
We will take about 30 - 45 minutes for lunch.
If you have a handheld VHF Radio please bring it. It does not need to be
complaint since it may be used for receive only. Let me know if you can
bring a radio.
Please advise via email if you plan to attend. I have to give security a
list of all who will be attending. There will be a maximum of 20 students
allowed. When responding please provide your name, rank, squadron number
and CAP ID number.
Directions to Government Services Building
Westtown Road
West Chester, PA
Westtown Exit of Route 202 (Westtown Exit is on the south side of West
Chester.
If coming from North of West Chester turn right at end of ramp. If coming
from South of West Chester turn left at the end of the ramp.
The Government Services Building is on the right about ¼ mile. It is the
huge building that you will see on the right and the entrance to the parking
lot is about 500 feet before the building.
Park anywhere in lot and come in front entrance.
Go through the security check. Class is in room 171. Security can direct
you but it is on the same floor you entered the building.
