Group 3 SAREX

To All ES Qualified Members of Group 3:

As has been previously announced, the Group 3 Funded Sarex will be held on 6-7 August, 2005 at RDG. The Ops Plan will soon be posted on the Group 3 website. All ES qualified members, or those in a training status, are invited to attend. Positions available include all aircrew positions, ground team positions, and mission staff. This is a major sarex, the only one in Group 3 this year that is funded, and a large turnout is essential for the success of the sarex, and the operational readiness of Group 3.

All ES qualified members should have their qualification data entered into MIMS, and all Sq/Gp/Wg approvals completed. If this is accomplished you should be able to see all of your qualifications listed on your 101 card generated by the CAPNHQ eServices website. If your qualifications are not completely entered into MIMS, bring all supporting documentation to the sarex. It will be checked upon sign in.

If you desire to attend and serve in any training capacity, you MUST have the prerequisites and preparatory tasks completed, documented, and preferably entered into MIMS. If you have done so your MIMS generated 101 card should list all ES specialties you are qualified to train in with an asterisk (*). If your 101 card does not so indicate, you will be required to show documentation, a MIMS generated SQTR worksheet or a paper 101T form, to serve in that training capacity. Remember, you must log exercise participations at a sarex, redcap, or other exercise with a mission number. That is the main value of these sarexes, to log trainiing sorties or exercise participations.

Anyone who desires to attend, download a CAPF 17 (Word version, not earlier than the Mar 03 edition), fill it out, and email it to your SqCC for approval. The SqCC will then forward it, with their concurrence, to the Incident Commander at rand@wt.net. Paper CAPF 17 will be accepted, but must be signed by the SqCC and mailed to 2853 Hope Ridge Dr, Easton, PA 18045. Place in Block 16 of the CAPF 17 your ES specialty qualifications. Place in Block 17 or 23 the duty position(s) you are requesting to fill or be trained for. Place in Block 22 your goals to be accomplished at the sarex.

Again, this is a great opportunity to train for ES specialties in a funded environment, and all members of Group 3 are encouraged to attend.

Group 3 Operations Officer
